This Thursday’s topic was “Your Thoughts Matter.” Joe shared that we must be in control of our thoughts before they become mental monsters. By dwelling too often in negativity, it can easily become our mind’s status quo.
He explained the science of the brain and emphasized a few key exercises to train our brains toward positivity including the concepts that “events have no meaning, only the meaning we give them,” how we can “respond rather than react” and how we can “shut down negative thoughts before they overtake us.”
As leaders, it is essential to communicate, communicate, communicate, lean on one another during this time and remain positive. Don’t allow distraction and fear to alienate your associates. Because the fact is, we are all in this together. The whole world is. Let’s take a collective pause, assess our own situations and respond thoughtfully.
