What is Money?

Wednesday, May 16, 2018 - Joe Kiedinger

As I mentor people, I have found that most people struggle with money. I don’t mean a lack of it or managing it. I mean the very root of it. I think that struggle comes from fear and not really understanding what money is.

I have to admit, I used to be one of those people. My view of money changed when one of my personal coaches re-positioned it my mind. He said, “Money is nothing more than votes of confidence. The more confident a person is in you and your abilities, the more money will pursue you.” For me, that new image of money changed everything!

Imagine three accountants. They all had the same education. They all had a 4.0 GPA. They all are in the same city. One makes $50K per year. One makes $100K per year and one makes $500K per year. Why such a gap of income? The answer is belief.

Our own beliefs limit our lives when it comes to how we view money. The first two accountants believe their services are only worth “X” amount while the third accountant has a different belief system. Her value in herself and her service to her clients are a magnet, attracting those who “fly with eagles” and appreciate the expertise and guidance she provides.

Do you realize that what you believe dictates your financial situation?

I was a victim of my own beliefs. Once I finally gave myself credit for all of my time and research as well as the results I have achieved personally, and for our clients, my belief system changed.

Now that I am in the fortunate and honored position of leading nineteen brilliant individuals, I am even more humbled because they lift me up and execute ideas in such a way that gets our clients results and earns votes of confidence! Our Prophiteers are now building their own legacy within Prophit, the company. They are taking seeds of ideas and making them come to life in ways Danica nor I ever imagined. We are so grateful!

Money is a real thing. We must learn to see it for what it is and to stop chasing it. By focusing on your own gifts and talents, practicing what you’re good at, and then using those talents to help others achieve their goals, well, that’s the magic formula. Do that and money will find you.
