What is Living Rent-Free in Your Head?
Wednesday, December 2, 2020 - Joe Kiedinger
It’s been a tense month. Well, maybe more than that… it’s been a tense year. Most of us have been trying to wade through lots of life—and work—changes while trying to discern what’s right. Not just through the virus that shall not be named, but also through election season and general unrest.
It all really comes down to one thing: Fear. All this uncertainty has sent us off searching for truth and what will make life “normal” again.
It’s rather comforting actually to think of it that way. We all just want what’s best and we haven’t been able to figure out how to get there. None of us have ill intentions.
While we continue to wade through murky waters, please keep this in mind. We have the power to create our own narratives.
Don’t look with distrust on your neighbor or label groups to disagree with. In doing so you allow fear to live rent-free in your head. Only you should choose what’s welcome to stay. Make it gratitude. Make it inspiration. Make it compassion.

ACTION PLAN: Take a look in the ol’ noggin. What have you been allowing to live rent-free? What will you serve an eviction notice to and kick out?
