Wednesday, April 27, 2016 - Joe Kiedinger
1) Deliberate relationship on-ramping into organizations
2) Faster promotion time
3) Desire to connect on a personal level
4) Open to the idea of “failing forward” (do you welcome mistakes?)
5) “If you don’t get me, I’m outta here!” is their battle cry.
After a short break where he processed her behavior, he went back inside. She continued to barrage him until he calmly took off his apron and said, “You have disrespected me to my core. I can no longer work here.”
He walked across the street to a higher end restaurant and within two days, found a higher paying job and more interaction with people.
You see, this generation wants you to “get them.” They wish to be involved, they have amazing ideas and have the mentality of, “put me in coach, I’m ready to play.”
The Millennials are already entering the workforce in giant numbers. I employ quite a few, two of them are my directors. I’m changing…and I love it!
