Too Many Seeds!
Wednesday, July 10, 2019 - Joe Kiedinger
Don’t you just love it when people bitch about things? Those who engage in petty complaints are not challenging themselves enough and they’re spoiling the vibe for the rest of us. I meet people who complain that it’s too hot. And then it’s too cold. If you don’t like something, take action! Here’s the difference.
There was a guy named O.J. Eigsti who, in the 1940s, was at a picnic and he too thought, “Gosh, there are too many seeds in this watermelon.” Unlike the first scenario I presented, good ole’ O.J. did something about it. After all, he was a plant geneticist. He created the first seedless watermelon way back then. Although it didn’t enter grocery stores until the 1980s, O.J. and his family enjoyed seedless watermelons for over forty years before the rest of the world joined them.
Do you have grit? Do you believe in something that very few see? Will you commit to sharing it, with as many people as possible, until it becomes mainstream?
We all have the ability to make an impact, whether it’s with a few people or the entire planet. Let’s look at our God-given gifts and focus on the things we can do to make the world, our community and our home a little better.
