Open yourself to new ideas

The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them. — Mark Twain
Most business folks are constantly looking for the next big idea to launch their business and truly engage their associates. And you know what? I think I found an awesome solution: Consult the greats!
Dig through your bookshelf and pull out a few of those books you’ve been meaning to read for years, but just never quite got around to. I’m sure you all have a couple leadership books or classics on your shelf that can do you a great deal of good! Set aside 15 minutes tonight to dive into one of those books. If the 15 minutes passes and you aren’t hooked, set it down and try a new one tomorrow night. Odds are, one will really resonate with you and you’ll be sucked in!
I honestly believe we can experience some of the best “aha” moments by doing a little bit of reading now and then. By engaging our minds with new ideas we become better leaders, workers, parents and spouses. Open yourself to some new ideas by opening a book today!
