Make It Happen

Wednesday, August 30, 2017 - Joe Kiedinger

Have you ever had an experience where you felt so pumped up and motivated but then days later, that passion and excitement was gone?

Maybe you saw an infomercial or read a book that got you going with weight loss goals or getting your house organized.

You probably told yourself, “This is the time I’m going to do it! I’m going to reach my goal!” But then a funny thing happened, you lost your drive and motivation. Why does this always seem to happen?

It’s because motivation is temporary! We, as human beings, need constant reminders in order to focus on our goals. The key to changing this is finding new ways to keep that motivation alive! Leaders especially need to seek out ways to motivate associates. Luckily, there are limitless ways to do this, but it all depends on the person.

YOU can be the example for others! When’s the last time you’ve been to a seminar? Read a leadership book? Signed up for a podcast? I encourage you to find that one thing to spark your motivation and keep with it.

If you’re going to grow, you’ve got to read…or listen to the rich information at your fingertips. Be the one that makes the change and motivates others to do the same.
