Let’s Get Realistic
Wednesday, June 3, 2020 - Joe Kiedinger
Let’s get realistic. For most of our companies, there’s not going to be a magical switch we can flip and bring everything back to normal. There’s going to be a transitional period, and it may be a lengthy one. The best thing we can do is to prepare ourselves, setting our businesses up for success.
What is this transition going to look like for your specific business? Perhaps you already have 90% of your staff working under your roof. Others of you might find the majority of your staff still working remotely. Are you able to operate efficiently with the current setup? What do you need to do to make ends meet? Talk it through with a small group of trusted associates.
Next, get feedback from all of your employees. At Prophit Co., we sent out two anonymous surveys to gauge how well things are working for our associates, when they’d like to return to the office, what changes might make them feel safe when coming back and if they have concerns about childcare or getting sick, etc.
You might be surprised by some of the feedback you get! Each of our associates has their own unique thoughts, needs and home life. Tuning into these will help you build a custom return plan that really works!
