Failure isn’t an option. You must FAIL to get it right!

Prophit just organized a community viewing of a documentary film called Design Disruptors. The documentary hit me hard. So many times employees are challenged to accomplish a specific task. They assume that they are on their own. They come up with a solution and present it to the leader. This is their First Attempt In Learning (F.A.I.L.) .
Collaboration is key. No one should have the ability to say, “I came up with that! That’s my baby.” As soon as it’s someone’s proverbial ‘baby’ it is already riddled with imperfections.
I truly believe when something looks good on paper, it won’t work. People forget the human element to their plans. Involve people, flush it out and collaborate to make it great!

ACTION PLAN: What initiative or processes do you own? Sell it! Get people involved to challenge and redesign your initial attempt (F.A.I.L.) so you can get it right! Fail forward and succeed!
