What would you like your 2023 to look like? As we wrap up 2022 and get ready to welcome a new year, let’s set ourselves up for success. Take some time today to envision what a blockbuster year could look like for your business. It’s okay to be wild and dream a bit! Push your imagination and picture what massive success could look like and feel like for you.
The bigger question is: how do you get there?
It starts with identifying key goals and initiatives that make sense for your organization. In our office, Danica and I, as owners, decide upon one large, overarching goal and five initiatives that will drive toward that goal. We assign an owner to each.
Why? We’ve found that assigning ownership of something to one individual is hugely motivating, shows we as owners have confidence in this person, and creates a drive to achieve. The owner of each initiative works with a key collaborator to create a plan and is allowed to pull in any and all members of our team when they’re needed. Makes sense, right?
Our own tried and true technique is part of the Rockefeller Habits, a set of leadership and management principles used by John D. Rockefeller, the founder of Standard Oil and one of the most successful businesspeople in American History. We teach them here at Prophit Co. as part of our Organizational Health program.
