Be a Change Agent

Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr., Mother Teresa. What do these names have in common? They are people who weighed comfort in one hand and duty in the other and took the hard road.
The biggest change agents in our history are people who didn’t settle. They didn’t avert their eyes from the ugliness of the world and decide to stay in, chill on their couch and watch Netflix. These people decided to walk straight toward the discomfort and their duty to believe in themselves and what’s right—at the risk of losing everything in order to bring about a greater good.
Comfort is the enemy of greatness, my friends. If you want to make a difference in the world, in your office, in your role or even in your family, you’ll need to put in the work. Embrace a continuous improvement mindset and get those hands dirty. As Ray Kroc said, “As long as you’re green you’re growing. As soon as you’re ripe you start to rot.” Change can be uncomfortable, but it’s also the only path toward growth.
