Tough Determination

Are you determined to succeed? Are you determined to keep going the course and show the world what you’re made of, even if it means you will receive push back for a long time? Is your idea worth pushing?
This photo was taken by me as I was on board the Washington Island ferry last week between Northport and Washington Island. The ferry makes two passes a day in the winter. This ice was about ten inches thick and it took about 35 minutes to cross the five mile span.
While traveling, I met an island resident who told me that once she was on the ferry and it took two hours to cross. She said the ice was so thick that the ferry would have to back up and ram the ice to break it. I felt it made a good metaphor for our wisdom today.
Too many people quit before their idea can break through. Think of an iceberg; only ten percent of an iceberg is visible above the surface and the other ninety percent is the foundation that allows it to be seen. Any idea takes time. Build your foundation with deliberation and persistence and eventually you will break through!

ACTION PLAN: Keep pushing!
