Brighten Your Brand – Finding Your Purpose!
Tuesday, March 7, 2017 - Joe Kiedinger
If you’ve ever been around young children, you’ll agree, the word “why” is a common choice in vocabulary. Even if the outcome is what adults would consider the most common of sense, leave it to a toddler to ask why? Frustrating, certainly, but after some thought, I think they may be on to something.
The definition of the word “why,” in its adverb form, is as simple as “for what reason or purpose.” We can all probably remember a day when asking why was immediately received with a harsh, quick answer of “because I said so.” I may actually be guilty of that form of parenting myself. But imagine getting that answer at work. “Why are we doing this initiative? What’s the purpose?” Or “What’s the big picture here? Why does this company truly exist? And how do I personally fit in?” might be something your employees, specifically ones in the millennial generation, are asking themselves today.
Do you know your WHY? Does your company have a WHY? A Purpose? Much like the smile on a child’s face when a simple answer to the question why is given, it might be time to brighten up your brand, and provide the inspiration your employees, and your customers, are starving for.
Why? Because you deserve credit for what you do because of you who are. And because Mom says so.
